Announcing the new BlogAndGrow Amazon Store
My greatest solitary pleasure in life is communing with another human being via the frozen thought forms captured in their written words. Reading a book, to wit.
“Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed and digested.” ~Francis Bacon
It’s my intention to share as many of my favourite books with my friends via this blog as possible. To extend my ability to share the books that have shaped my thinking, I have set up the BlogAndGrow Amazon Book Store
If you are interested in seeing some of the books that I have read, or intend to read, feel free to head on over to my new BlogAndGrow Amazon Book Store.
As well as listing a few books I have purchased and read recently, I have started to add some of the books I intend to read in the near future to the Wish List so you can see what direction my reading is heading in. You might wish to purchase some of those books too.Eventually I will flesh out the store by making Categories and adding the various books that I already own, have read and recommend as valuable or joyful books to read.
“These are not books, lumps of lifeless paper, but minds alive on the shelves. From each of them goes out its own voice… and just as the touch of a button on our set will fill the room with music, so by taking down one of these volumes and opening it, one can call into range the voice of a man far distant in time and space, and hear him speaking to us, mind to mind, heart to heart.” ~Gilbert Highet
There are many valuable books that I wish to share with you. My intention is to write at least one in-depth book review per month. Last month it was “The Warren Buffett Way” by Robert G. Hagstrom. This month I will be reviewing “The Passion Test” by Chris and Janet Attwood.
Thanks to QuoteGarden.com/Books.html for the quotations.
